ROAD CYCLING - FEATURED RIDES

RIST & Buckhorn CANYON - MAP

From our door you'll start a 13 mile climb to 8,000' summit of Rist Canyon. A stunningly beautiful ride that is very challenging and a local favorite. Descending down the backside you'll enter Buckhorn Canyon and be taken aback by the peaceful, streamside roads.

HORsetooth - MAP

A beautiful ride along Horsetooth takes you up the 12% grade of North Dam, just 1 mile from the Cabin.  Along the way you'll likely see deer, rabbits, and many other cyslists, as this is Fort Collins' most popular road ride.

masonville, glade road - map

This classic ride has the dams of Horsetooth plus a visit to historic Masonville. From there you'll loop through Glade Road and ride back along Fort Collins' "bike highway" along Overland Trail road.

Dairy to CEMENT PLANT - MAP

An easy ride, but one you'll love. Stop in at the Howling Cow Cafe located at the Morning Fresh Dairy. After enjoying a cup of coffee, head to the Cement Plant and loop back over Bingham Hill. You can easily extend this ride to make it more challenging.

BELLVUE TO CARTER LAKE - MAP

This is a tough ride up to Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.  Lots of climbing and lots of miles, but you won't be sorry (except going up the switchback just outside Glen Haven).  It's worth it!

RAWHIDE POWER PLANT - MAP

If you're looking to explore the plains and take a rest from climbing, this is your ride. You'll venture north to the Rawhide Power Plant. Along the way are miles of farms, a few rollers and little traffic. Cut the ride short and turn back to town after you reach Owl Canyon if you want an easier, shorter ride.

Many more rides right from our door, and we're happy to help provide guidance and suggestions!
